The first step
Ask what date the copy is from, what it contains and who can reproduce it. The inscription Copy made itself does not confirm that it contains all the necessary data and that the website can be launched from it.
In a typical WordPress, content and settings are in the database, and photos, themes and add-ons are in files. The complete copy needed for recovery requires taking into account both parts and run conditions.
Exporting posts can help you move your content, but it is not automatically a complete copy of your entire site. The screenshot preserves the appearance, not the data and behavior of the forms. The scope must be named before the failure, and if the failure is already ongoing, confirm what is actually left.
The website's launch copy and a readable archive of texts with photos serve different purposes. If you close the page and want to save the reading material, name this result separately.

Copy coverage varies by site and service. The copy does not, by itself, confirm that the restore will be successful.

- Does the copy include files and the database?
- Check both items and their storage location. The image list or text export alone is not sufficient to reproduce the full WordPress.
- Is the copy from before the problem?
- Not only freshness is important. If you have already saved a corrupt or changed state, you may need an older version. Its existence should not be assumed without confirmation.
- Has there been any new data since the backup date?
- Orders, reservations and content updates may be reversed upon reinstatement. In a store, restoration must also be reconciled with payments and external services.

- Record the dates and range of available copies provided by the hosting or maintainer.
- Determine if they are outside the affected account.
- Ask if a recovery was attempted and what was checked.
- List important changes after the backup date before accepting the restore.
What solutions make sense
First, the available materials and the purpose of the restoration are assessed. If possible, a copy is checked outside the public version, with actions that may send legitimate messages or bill customers disabled.
Without confirmation of the preserved data, it is impossible to assess what can be reproduced. A new copy of the current state also does not replace the pre-failure version. It helps save material for further work, but has a different purpose.
What does this mean for migration from WordPress?
The new site may not use the WordPress database. It still requires preservation of materials and the establishment of copies of its files and dependent services. When migrating, we retain the agreed archive of the previous version.

The name of the archive does not say whether it will allow you to recreate the site. Exporting entries is not an automatic copy of files and database.
Next step: Determine the type, date and content of the material. Also ask the hosting about separate copies of files and databases.
The available materials may be from different days.
Restoring to an older state may miss newer content and reports. It is not yet known what is missing.
Next step: Before overwriting the public version, compare dates and determine which newer data you need to keep. Plan a safe recovery attempt.
The copy was launched under controlled conditions.
Only working content, photos and agreed functions show its usefulness. External services require separate review.
Next step: Record the recovered range and gaps. The attempt must not accidentally trigger real payments, reservations or notifications.
